Workshop Participant Waiver
Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability — Fury Hot Sauce Workshop
By registering for and attending a Fury Hot Sauce workshop, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Inherent Risks. Workshops can involve the use of knives and other kitchen tools that can cause cuts or injury. Participants handle fresh and dried chili peppers, which can cause skin, eye, and respiratory irritation; capsaicin contact may cause a burning sensation that lasts for several hours.
- Allergens & Sensitivities. Ingredients may include peppers, garlic, onions, mustard, vinegars and other common allergens. It is your responsibility to disclose any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions to the instructor before the class begins. If you are pregnant, immunocompromised, or have a condition affected by spicy or fermented foods, please consult your doctor before attending.
- Tasting & Consumption. Tasting samples of fermented and acidic products is optional and at your own discretion.
- Take-Home Ferments. You will leave with a live fermenting product that requires ongoing monitoring, proper storage, and safe handling. Fury Hot Sauce is not responsible for the condition, safety, or outcome of any product once it leaves the workshop.
- Conduct & Instructions. You agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the instructor and to behave in a manner that does not endanger yourself or others.
- Age Requirement. Participants must be 18 years of age or older unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who assumes full responsibility for the minor.
- Release of Liability. You release and hold harmless Fury Hot Sauce, its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, and host venues from any and all claims, damages, injuries, illnesses, allergic reactions, or losses arising from your participation in the workshop, except in cases of gross negligence.
- Media. Photos or video may be taken during workshops for promotional use. Please notify the instructor in advance if you do not wish to be photographed.
By purchasing a ticket and/or attending the workshop, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this waiver on behalf of yourself and any guests in your party.
