Chris Must List Is Creating His Own Hot Sauce with the help of Fury Hot Sauce
@ChrisMustList is not your average tourist. Known for travelling the world in search of untold stories and often dangerous places, food and culture often seem to find their way into his stories. Chris has amassed over 1 million followers across his channels. Now, he's taking those experiences and his audience in a new direction: Chris is working with Fury Hot Sauce to develop his own hot sauce.
And we're pretty excited about it.
For us, hot sauce has never been just about heat. It's about flavour, memory, people and place. So when Chris came to Fury to talk about creating a sauce of his own, the conversation went well beyond peppers.
We talked about discovery. We talked about travel. We talked about the flavours that stay with you long after you've left a place. We talked about what makes a hot sauce actually mean something.
And, naturally, we talked about how to put all of that into a bottle.
What Is Chris Must List's Hot Sauce?
The goal isn't simply to make something hot.
It's to take the flavours, experiences and food memories that have shaped Chris's travels and turn them into something that works in a bottle — something with character, balance and a story behind it.
That's where things get interesting because developing a great hot sauce is about balance.
Acid. Sweetness. Spice. Fermentation. Aromatics. Texture. And knowing when to leave something alone.
Most importantly, it's about understanding why those ingredients belong together.
A Conversation About More Than Hot Sauce
When Chris stopped by the Fury office, we spent time talking about how we approach hot sauce and why we do things differently.
Some flavours we were born into. Some found us along the way. Others sent us across cities, borders and oceans for one more bite.
That's part of what makes this project such a natural fit.
Chris has spent years doing his own version of that journey — travelling, eating, meeting people and documenting the food and culture he encounters.
Now some of those experiences are making their way into a sauce.
Starting in Trinidad & Tobago
Trinidad & Tobago is an important part of the story. For Chris's sauce, Trinidad & Tobago is where the journey begins.
The challenge is taking those influences and creating something that feels authentic to the inspiration while still becoming something new.
Because that's what food does.
It travels. It changes hands. It crosses borders. It adapts to new kitchens and new generations.
Sometimes it becomes something entirely new without losing the place it came from.
That's the kind of story we're interested in telling with Fury.
Fury In The Wild
Of course, talking about food only gets you so far.
Eventually, you have to eat.
After visiting Fury, Chris took some of our hot sauces to one of his favourite restaurants; Indar's Roti & Doubles, to get them on the table and into the hands of people who know these flavours best.
And that's exactly where we think hot sauce belongs.
Not sitting on a desk.
Not being admired in a bottle.
On food. With people. Around a table.
Because that's where you find out whether a sauce actually works.
It's also where ideas get better.

From an Idea to a Bottle
Creating a hot sauce from scratch is part art, part science and part obsession.
There will be flavours to test. Recipes to develop. Peppers to argue about. Bottles to fill.
And probably a few things that don't work along the way.
That's the fun of it.
We're not interested in taking a shortcut to something that simply looks the part.
We want to help Chris create something that tastes like it came from somewhere.
Something that reflects the places and flavours that inspired it.
Something that belongs at the table.
Something that means something.
This is only the beginning.
