USA Orders Suspended
We have made the tough decision to suspend USA bound orders due to new regulations. Even though our Fury products are CUSMA exempt, the slew of paperwork and complications at the border are resulting in untenable delays, costs, stress and frustration for both our customers and our team.
Here are the facts:
Delays & Backlogs: USA customs authorities are currently experiencing significant delays due to backlogs. Processing times are averaging 7+ days beyond normal clearance schedules.
Impact can include:
- Shipments being held longer than expected at customs
- Delivery timelines extended
UPS Notice: UPS is currently not accepting shipments from Canada to the United States that contain food products(hot sauce included) regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). As a result, any orders containing these items cannot be shipped via UPS until further notice.
U.S. de minimis & tariff changes affecting Canadian shippers (effective now and upcoming):
- De minimis ($800) suspended as of Aug 29, 2025. All low-value shipments to the U.S. are now dutiable and must meet full entry requirements. Non-postal parcels require a proper customs entry; postal parcels face new per-item or ad valorem duties.
- CUSMA (USMCA) Exemptions: Goods that qualify remain exempt from the new IEEPA tariffs applied by the U.S. this year however;
- Expect new costs and paperwork: U.S. Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) applies on formal entries (0.3464% ad valorem; min/max amounts apply), plus potential brokerage and other user fees.
- If goods do not qualify under CUSMA/USMCA: the U.S. has imposed additional IEEPA tariffs on Canadian goods (generally 35% since Aug 1, 2025). Sector exceptions may apply, but assume exposure unless CUSMA/USMCA rules are met.
To continue shipping across the border with our carriers, we have to assume all potential costs and chargebacks in the event that the recipient either refuses the package or applicable duties. As a small business, this is simply not an option. So even though our Fury-made products are CUSMA exempt, the risk, increased processing times, costs, delays and frustration incurred by all parties has made this decision necessary. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements.
